Ok so how do you guys/girls take such good close pictures mine always come out blurry or far away i use a 6.0 sony powershot is it cause i have a bow front ?? or is there something i should be doing
And just to clear up a popular myth, you don't need to be close to get a close up photo! Be sure to observe your camera's minimum focus distance when you're setting up the shot.
I agree with Mike. The curved glass is going to cause distortion issues. Try to find a flat part of the pane... the sides, maybe?
i find i get my best pics when using a tripod add/or pressing the lense against the glass to steady it- i don't know how you'll press the lense up against a curved piece of glass, but maybe try a cheap tripod.
Those shots would have done real well in the Photo of the Month Contest. The zoos are especially nice.
I use an old PoC Sony 4mp CyberShot. I take a whole bunch of shots and look for the one I got lucky on. Then I crop out the blurry areas. Haven't won the POTM yet but have surprisingly gotten quite a few votes anyway, which makes it fun.
