pink birdsnest turning brown

All levels are right on just don't know what it might be. I dint have a phosban remover but i do have the bag that lays in the sump with phosphate remover don't know if i should just upgrade to getting one that would eliminate that problem

as easy as birdsnest is to keep, they are hit or miss. what type lighting do you have? water params? notice any parasites(red bugs) on the birdsnest?? i have a pink birdsnest and it looks like a fuzzy pink slipper!!

Cant say much about the PBN but about the phosban..water takes the path of least resistance. I learned that when laying a bag in the sump, the water simply flows around it.

Yeah guess i got to go to tom and get an actual phosban remover
