pistol shrimp

how did you get it.... or are you looking to get one.....

i've been looking for one to pair up with my shrimp goby. i would think its safe for reef except i think they have a tendency to kill other shrimps.

I have one in my 24g aquapod to pair with my yasha haze, got him in very small and it took a few days for the goby to find him. Sort of regretting it now though, once they paired they spent a few days in the front corner of my rocks then moved to the rear of the tank. I haven't seen the shrimp since (except for the piles of sand they dig up) and only see the goby once a week or so for about 10mins. Other then that I never hear anything at all from him, and my very large skunk cleaner shrimp is fine (not sure if the size difference wasn't so vast if that would be different)

I say go ahead and get one if you want one, but if you're getting it to pair with a shrimp goby realize you might never see them again LOL
