Does cpr require aqua lifter pump???

I've been in this hobby so long that I'm the person who told CPR about TOM Aqualifters.

Most current CPRs have the connection for the Aqualifter, so you're better off using it, unless you think you can get the bubbles collecting in it some other way, because those bubbles will eventually break the siphon.

This is why I use a powerhead,I insert the airline from the overflow into the intake on the powerhead nozzle. Works flawlessly

I understand that is one use for the power head venturi inlet, but how do you secure it in place? I think it could be a single failure point scenario - I can envision some tail-slapping wrasse, or maybe even a large snail, simply pushing the tubing out of the power head input hole.

The air line tubing fits snug in the inlet, thankfully never had anything pull it out. Have had snails cleaning the tubing with no issue
