I had a chamber set up for chaeto in my sump ( second in line) flow up after media. I guess I didn't have enough 'junk' at first- my 1/2 cup of chaeto became a nickel size piece and was getting sucked into the return - I moved it to the overflow chamber and the chaeto is now growing- I have a ton of pods- mostly in the filter media. Normally I'd rinse this regularly, but now I'm hesitant. Options are to jut leave it or move it to the second chamber where the flow would be reversed. I could add another section of media in the last section to catch any detritus and larger pods- what do you guys think- also if I leave the media as is and move the light and chaeto to the second chamber, will it affect the pods- do they benefit from light?
