maybe Green Star Polyps? If it is, about 3-4 days. Make sure your magnesium is @ normal levels. Lack of won't make them open longer.

check your water quality, maybe your nitrates are/were too high. i had the same problem and once i lowered my nitrates they opened up. usually corals are a great indicator of poor water quality.
