I'm looking for a new powerfilter for my 30g qt. I was debating between the Aqua clear 70 or a Rena 55. I've never owned a Rena filter. Their technology is slightly different as the media is enclosed in a box as opposed to bags. anyone have experience with the Rena filers or should i go with old reliable Aqua clear?

I'd go with the aquaclear,and if you dont have one,let me check I might have one laying around Im not using.If I do I could trade ya for a frag,pm me if you need one 
i still use a aqua clear for supplamental (sp?) filtration and surface agitation on my dt..... i love the aqua clears....

Definitely aquaclear. I have a couple that are over 10 years old and haven't failed.
Easy to clean, can change the media to pretty much anything u want with a few mesh bags, and the pumps just don't quit.
