ProClear Prp 150 wet/dry question

Would I be able to do away with the inlet assembly and replace it with a filter sock holder and sock?

You can simply place the filter sock on wherever you have the water entering the sump. It will not cause any issues, just make sure you clean it out every 2-4 days as it gets dirty with gunk.

Since my inlet is on the side underneath the waterline, I would be able to just tie a filter sock around that inlet assembly bubble trap? (see drawing in link of 1st post)
