Questions on drilling a tank

I am planning on drilling a tank soon. I am going to use the Beananimal overflow. How far apart do I drill the three drain holes? How much space from the top of the tank do I need as well? I'm using 1" bulkheads.

I've used glassholes overflow (and drill kit) with 2 holes. They are about 1 foot apart (for 3/4" thick glass). Not familiar with Beananimal.
I would guess if you have a choice set them further apart, in a locations that are convenient and also will look good, and may be make sense in a flow considerations (for example on opposite sides). Glassholes overflow was installed as high as possible (touched the top frame).
Expect water to be about an inch higher than level of the overflow, so don't go too high (too close to edge) for danger of overspills.
1" bulkheads seem small, but then it depends on the size of your tank and the amount of the flow.
