QUICK SALT QUESTION(I KNOW I KNOW)

Ok I have about ten gallons of salt made up not even salt the salt level is at 1.00 instead of using this for just top off water. Can I mix salts togethar, I had about 4 cups left of red sea coral pro, so i just dumped it in the mixing tub to see where my levels would be at..well they are low so i was wondering if can mix tropic marin pro reef and red sea together to get my salt at 1.26 or if thats a no-no or should I just use that tub for top off and wait to mix a full new batch of salt up.Also i know that it could be hard to introduce a new salt to the tank what would be the recomended water change % in a 120 gallon.To introduce a new salt...yes merv i switched to see if itS worth the money...LOL...

Mixing them will not hurt anything. I would not use salt water for topoff.

well being that its maybe at 1.00 maybe lower I figured why not do a gallon of this and a gallon of RODI as long as i keep the salt level the same....

You might want to keep a close eye on your tank's salinty if you're topping off with salt water. Your salinty could easily over shoot 1.026 if you're not careful. Mixing salts isn't a problem.

i think giving your brother in law some free salt should take care of that issue
