I'm trying to figure out why my r/o unit drains water from the waste line continusly, even when not making water.

yup it has one of them ones i hooked the tank up to it about 2 hours ago and the waste water is coming out slower noe also what size inline flow restritor should i have if it is a 50gpd?

ASOV's need a checkvalve on the waste side of the membrane. Usually if you get a kit for the ASOV, a checkvalve is included. They make internal and externa versions.
