ahhh, that makes sense.

ever thought about, just running the 2 outer T5s and removing the middle ones, cutting a hole to fit your kessil so you have a make sift hybrid?

Honestly I haven't. But I'm also not that DIY savvy so I'd probably wreck it trying to do so. But could be a fun project. Have you done that before?

I haven't but it seems pretty easy enough, just have to rewire the t5 sockets to match one ballast and then find a hole saw bit and drill the aluminum or a rotor would work.

I was thinking about doing it to my 8x24w ATI sunpower but the resale on them was not worth it for me to go ahead do that mod.

This tank is driving me nuts. From the pests i introduced, electrocution from my ATS,.....and now I have a briopsis outbreak. :cower:

I'm thinking about using flucanazole. Any advice on this will be helpful. Will try anything at this point including any other form of maintenance. 20180227_213949.jpg 20180227_214135.jpg

iTzJu If your looking for one to mod I have a dimmable 6 bulb ATI that needs a new screen

Looks like my rock with a combo of bacteria and algae... For me peroxide is effective on some algae types but on long term dosing I noticed decline of coralline and dulling of color on some acros. I still dip some plugs and use it for cleaning but I don't add it directly to the tank no more. Had great results with Flucanazole on bryopsis... I used this around this time last year and I needed 2 treatments over a few month period with no negative effect on corals and haven't had any bryopsis in over 6 months. Currently I on week 7 of dosing Vibrant for my hair and it's slowly knocking that down with no effect on corals but now I have green cyano taking it's place.

So, it's been a few months since I've updated this. I lost all of my hard corals due to electrocution, pests and algae. So at this point, I have gone almost full softy

I have to be honest, with life and the club, i haven't had much time to give to this tank

My drop turf scrubber went on me. I noticed when I kept getting shocked from putting my hand into the tank
