Also lost every SPS coral in my tank. Small colony to frags. John was kind enough to give some SPS last weekend and so far all is good. I had a large green Pavona which was 1 inch and was years old. Actually got it when Edwin had a meeting at his house. Completely gone and rock had nice Sponge on it. I tossed the rock as it was I infested with vermatid snails.

My G1 Reefer has one return nozzle and doesn't move to much. I picked this up on a whim from Amazon and it fits nicely. I plan to increase the flow a bit as before it would hit front glass and was to turbulent.

The sad part is I have a 3D printer someone gave me months ago and never used it. Time is what I need to sit down and figure it out.

I am still losing SPS and one odd LPS coral. Everything else is great. This weekend I borrowed Phosphate and Nitrate test kits. they are API and I ma not a fan but was curious.
Looking for opinions on the results: API Nitrate 40 and Phosphate 1.

I did notice the large clown is fanning the sand and detritus might be cause of elevated levels. I plan to remove clown anyway as its burying many corals.
Any help appreciated.

P @ 1 is deff to high for SPS, I start to lose mine at 0.4, but, API is notoriously bad.

I used to Vodka dose in prior house and tank. Will start that again but will order Salifert kits.

Vodka is mostly for nitrates. I would throw some GFO in there also.

I dosed 5ml of Vodka and added some Rowaphos I had.

What kind of sand do you have in there? It was relatively new water that you put in the tank right? And what fish do you have?

The sand was also new. Caribbean reef sand.

Retested after a few days of Rowaphos and Vodka dosing.

Results: API Nitrate 5 and Phosphate 0.25.
