reef central

Does anyone know any of the moderators on reef central ? I am having trouble logging on and replying to post , asking questions, sent 2 mods PMs with no reply. I would like to keep my screen mane the same and not have to re-register, any suggestions ??? thanks a bunch.

Did you just register there? If so change your email address and re-send the activation email.

Hey Phly, actually I dont want to admit this but I have been registered there since before NJRC although my loyalty is with NJRC ;D It says that i dont have the priveliges to reply to a post or that the administrators shut off my account. or something like that.

Whoah. That's usually only because you've made the RC Mods angry. That usually takes posts that may resemble a commercial entity or disagreeing with them openly.

They've recently upgraded their forum software and there's no telling what went awry. I've not had any problem logging in, so I'm not sure what else could have gone wrong.

all i do is look at the for sale stuff, never any comments and definitly not anything rude or disagreeing, i dont know enough to give good advise , so i dont give any. :-X I will keep trying , thanks.

Then it was likely turned off due to inactivity.

There's likely a an admin email somewhere on the site - email them direct.

its weird , i just checked and its just for the stuff thats for sale or trade, the other stuff it looks like i could post reply to .??????????? ??? ??? ???

Sounds like a post count limitation. Not a surprise. How many posts do you have?! And don't go around senselessly padding until you hit the limit either!!

No .. it is a bug in RC. I had the same problem. I could reply to FS forums and send PMs the very first day. (But only after I changed my email address). In your case maybe the noticed the problem and rectified it.

I doubt it. I'm still active and I think I have 25 posts there since 2003 or 2004, but I have found other forums I like more.

OP PM Boomer here to look into it for you.

I got an answer from one of there guys, im in good standing, thank God! seems as it may be a post count thing or the way the new software works .
