Hi all,
I refilled my 60G for one last rinse after cleaning it to remove the oily dried smelly film from everything after my stealth pro broke, and noticed these little hairline cracks in the silicone where the corners meet. They are very tiny but clumped together but stretch up the height of the tank. It is not water because they are appearing above the waterline. The higher I filled it the more appeared. Now, I did not notice this when it was actually running..but cannot really say I was looking at the corners like that because everything was fine with the tank....before that dreaded night. Silicone is intact - no breaches...silicone looks like it did when bought new .... any ideas...could it have been the chemicals in the heater that caused these, are these just normal, should I not worry and just fill her up.....I don't need 60G of water on my floor..the right corner is only halfway affected (top half). Cleaned with vinegar/water and windex when dry to wipe clean...any ideas?
