I'm at a crossroad and i don't know which way to go.. My choices are use the Mag 18 I have and buy another one and then plumb one pump to each side OR buy a Mag 24 or bigger and power both sides from one pump..
I don't have a good answer for you sorry but I have a couple questions that might help get a better answer. Are they both going to be in sump, one in one out, both out? My personal thought would be to have one big one outside the sump for heat reasons but that is really a guess.
I think with 2 pumps at least you would have some type of redundancy and flow in case of failure on any one. Agree with ric that mags get too hot and also agree with JR should try to go outside. Basically not adding any value to the thread I guess.
i have the mag drive because they are dependable and i haven't really had any heat issues with it also the tank is in the basement where it is cool in the summer and cold in the winter if i dont have the woods stove running. I would like to have external but that would mean i have to drill the 75 which im not eager to do at the moment.. I'll check out a dart but still undecided . Both are in-sump BTW
