Rose Bubble Tip Anemone

OK, I just purchased a Rose Bubble Tip Anemone from Charlie0. Thanks Charlie...... I've always wanted one. Should I put it where there's allot of flow? Should I put it on the bottom of the tank or up high on the rocks? It is aclimating now.

They will "walk" around until they find a spot to call home. Generally, they prefer to be in an area of moderate current, though not in a strong direct current. Make sure that they are not near any powerheads.

Good luck, they are beautiful!

Thanks.... The moving part is what I'm afraid of. I think I will be loosing allot of corals with this anemone moving around. I'm thinking of putting it in the sump until I move thing around, but I really don't want to do that. I want to show it off.

Ricwilli,
Ive tried everything. They move till they like where they are. One thing you can try and do is to try and feed it. That may help it stay in place.

Good Luck

when you aclamate the RBTA put a samll rock there with it so it will attach to it , and then you can put the rock with it keep it low , or make a little iland for it away from the other rock so it will stay there they loveto walk on the glass and rock not the sand try that and see what happens

Unfortunately, the Rose Bubble didn't make it. I really don't know what happen. It was fine yesterday night. I even spot feed it. It kind of dissolved. There are pieces of it all over the tank. Some of the pieces still have tentacles and they are still bright red. Should I siphone it all out or should I leave the pieces that still have tentacles on them in the water? This really su@#$. I've been wanting one for a while.

Sounds to me like a powerhead got it. Did you cover your powerheads? If it is all in small pieces I would try and get as much out as you can.

You gonna get a clown for it? Nothing is happier than a clown and him anenome ;D

It's insensitive and silly comments like these that get other reefers aggravated. He lost his BTA. ???

I would siphon out everything and anything you can get to as it will eventually decompose into additional nutrients that will impact your water chemistry...

that stinks. Sorry it died on you. from what i have heard they aren't the easiest to keep alive. Good luck if you try again

Sorry to hear about this Rick. It does sound like it went through the powerhead. I had it happen to one of mine years ago. Try to siphon off what you can.

Sorry agoin. :'(
