Scratches in glass

I was wondering if its possible to remove scratches in a glass tank? I've seen the kits that sell for around $40,but wanted to get others opinion on this...thanks :)

I have no idea if it would work, but how about those scratch/chip fillers for auto glass. They sell for about ten bucks. I know it's base on acrylates (similar to one-drop super glues). Have no idea how it would hold up on a tank...salt water.

If you buff out a scratch in either a glass or acrylic tank you have to do the whole the pane. Otherwise you will be able to see the area you buffed because the optics will change.
