I have retro vho and MH light kits in my canopy. Am interested to know if I should screw the standoffs for the vho's into the canopy or first screw a block into the canopy and then the standoffs into the block? Does it make a difference? By using a block this will lower the vho's by the size of the block (about an inch or two) putting them that much closer to the waters surface. It also moves them about level with the MH lights.

Thanks Phyl. I had blocks in there originally and was hoping I could get away without them. I already added three of the blocks back (fourth has stripped screws so I need to cut another) so I guess that's the direction I'll take.
