I've had mine a year now and he's been good, I don't know about Brian's....


Brian nice Angle !!! Let me know if he's a picker, I might have to get one if he's not. I'm gonna be setting up another tank to consolidate the 29 gal and 46.

The first is a Flame Angel, a Dwarf, we have one of them too. She's so purty. The Dwarfs are "reef safe".

The second I think is a juvenille Emporer? He's gorgeous, I love how they change as they mature. Didn't go there because I thought the same thing about picking at the corals?

Too bad you can't put more than one in a tank. Or so I've read anyway...anyone ever pull that off w/o fights?

That Angel is in my FOWLR. I tested him out by placing a few zoo's in the tank with him...

That didn't go over so well! He ate about 30 zoo's in less than 5 minutes of them being in the tank. I WISH I could put him in my reef.

I think you can get away with putting larger angels in an SPS reef. It will pick at them here and there, but I think if it's well fed and you have enough for them to pick on it wouldn't kill any of them.

He (or she) is my favorite fish.. It's actually in my fuge right now because I tore down the 90 and re-did it. He's not too happy in there, I can tell you that!

Nice Emperor. I have had mine for about three months now and it hasn't nipped at the coral. I keep him well fed and add some seaweed sheets a couple of times a week. It has worked so far.
