Skimmer and CO2 Scrubber

How do I hook up my CO2 scrubber to this skimmer? It has a silencer which my other skimmer didn't.

The intake tube of the skimmer connects to the co2 scrubber, so the air coming into the skimmer pump will have less co2.

I get that. My other skimmer, which is to big for this sump, didn't have a silencer so not sure how or where to connect scrubber.

I drilled a hole in the top of the silencer slightly smaller than the tube and inserted my outside air feed into silencer.

I read to connect airline from pump directly to scrubber by passing silencer.

Wherever the air comes in. Looks like the silencer has a small hole on it.
