honestly they are both great skimmers. i had my doubts about the swc but i popped in a new impeller last month and have it running on my 125 right now and its pulling wonderfully.

I've got one more.....is it the original pump? I think a RO 5500 or 5500s maybe??? Or has it been changed to something else....or possibly the newer DC VarioS-6?

It is the original pump which has been out of service for a decade but works like new.

I would 100% keep this one except it's going to be too small for my 300g. what I really love about this one is that it hardly takes up any room at all. was able to get my refugium back.

I emptied it last night.

What model skimmer do you have?

I myself have a model Christie Brinkley skimmer. Tall and thin but mine is only 30 years old now. She is a little older but better looking
