skimmer not bubbling?

evening everyone.

i have an aquac 400ev. it seems it's not bubbling and producing white foam. i took it out last week and ran some white vinegar for about an hour. i put it back in after doing the water change, and i still dont see any bubbling action like i used to. this is 1 week later.

any thoughts?

(the pump is still pushing water through it)

Unscrew the injector and clean it good with a bottle brush. Unscrew the air control valve and soak it in vinegar. Many times the air valve is not letting enough air in, and a large cleaning further jambs it up as large chunks of junk fly loose. I used to own a EV-180, so I am quite familar with cleaning issues.

found the problem...chaeto was clogged where the pump attaches to the nosel on the skimmer...lots of foam now ;]
