I am looking to find something comparable to a reeflo orca 250 pro. I a borrowing an orca now and I love it. My only complaint is the large pump on it. If it wasn't for the larger power draw, I would probably go with the coralvue hurricone. I want the better power factor the dragon style pumps produce.

I have been looking at the Super reef octopus 5000 external or the 3000/5000 external cone skimmers. Is anyone on here using one? Basically I am trying to find bubble king performance without the cost since money is tight right now.

The orca is skimming mud right now, so I have been very happy with it. The pro kit seems to make a difference. Has anyone on here tried the super reef octopus recirc or external cone skimmers?
