Thanks Mike, the tank just turned 1 year old in Nov. adding a calcium reactor really made a difference with growth.

Thank you Tom ... I just lowered mine. Maybe i'll get it to color up again. I had it 3/4 up with 250w 12K's

Tom, get great at taking pictures with the lens you have and you'll have skills that will transfer when you DO get a macro lens. In the mean time some closeup filters (<20$) or a extension tube (kenkos are cheap, you can also shop ebay), and you'll get the closer pictures your looking for without shelling out the money for the lens.

Thanks Phyl, I was thinking of getting one of those extension tubes, will the AF still work with them? I set the camera to where I think Brian had his and did notice a big difference in the pic's

No prob Mike I hope it does better for you, when I first got mine it was mostly brown and with 2 weeks it started to color up. Where did you get yours from?

Tom, what T5 bulbs do you use? I have 175w iwasaki's too, and just getting ready to add 4x54watt T5 retros. Looking to see what bulb combinations are working for you.

I'm running 2 Giesemann actinic + and 2 pure actinic's
