Source for acrylic glue

I guess I should say good morning...(can't believe the time!)

Can anyone provide the best source for glue. (hopefully local to Morris County)I am planning on using weld-on #4 on some modifications to a sump. I saw Melev's website suggests ordering it from a place for $28, but would love to hear if anyone has a local cheaper source.
Thx

silly, i will send you some weldon with this stupid strip i keep messing up. i find that the teeth routing is the most difficult out of any acrylic fabrication task. i wouldn't glue it until you see how it functions with the strip/teeth. clamp it in and run it for a couple of days just to see. i am going to send you an ugly piece for now, to see if it is in the ballpark as to what you need. you can also use some screening to add to the teeth to make sure the algae stays put.

oh, FYI, they have weldon 4 at "something fishy" in allentown pa. my favorite store. you can find it on usplastics.com as polycarbonate glue. no hazardous shipping costs.

Hey Renee! Thank you so much for putting some of your valuable time into this. Naive as I am with acrylics, I didn't realize the difficulty level on this. I'd like to return the favor in some way soon. Note: I saw on melevsreef site that he uses a template to create teeth panels.Maybe this would help with this tricky process?

You mentioned Something Fishy...I am eager to get out there again. I always had good luck there as well. Maybe I can stop by with the family briefly on a weekend. The twins are lots of laughs right now at 20 mos. I can't believe how much your girls have grown. (feeding them lot's of calcium? :D)

I checked usplastics.com and saw the pint sized CADCO polycarbonate cement. Is this what you use. ($16ea)If so, I will go ahead and order one from there.
Thx again,
Bob

i bought a few from there, used them all up. they are just like weldon 3 very thin. cheap price (no name) and cheap shipping since they are not shipping as hasmat. the higher the number the thicker it is . 3 and 4 are not visible to us as being different. they are both thinner than water. i have more if you need it. i have a qt of weldon 3 or 4 i dont remember which. by the way, they are not glues, they are solvents. they react with the acrylic and melt it, causing the two parts to melt together. also i have a pt of weldon 16 a syrupy thick cement for when you have a flaw in a seam. also i have a pt of weldon 40, two part that bonds polycarbonate, pvc or cpvc to acrylic.

acme plastic 230 browertown road in little falls nj has weld on 3 ,4 , 16 and others ... got mine there today for $6.65

Bob, if you go to Acme you might want to buy 3 and 4. I haven't
worked with lexan in a few years and just bought the 4 and 16 IMO the
dry time is to slow to work with a good pace. I really think to
do it right you need all 3 so you can use the right glue at the right
times. heres the number for Acme (973)-628-4444
