Spider reflectors

How much can you cut down on them before you loose efficiency? I want to try and make some room in the hood to put one more actinic bulb in there but the mh reflectors take up so much room

How much is a Cut? maybe a snip from each side will do.. Spiders are not known to be that efficient anyways

what about using your current hood? if your competent enough to make a full canopy you can surely make some sort of rack or something to mount those tubes a little lower..

thats an idea though I would like to keep it all in the hood to hide it. Hmmmm but you got me thinking great now to make another hood LMAO

I smell wood burning!! ;D,

Mike, can you mount them to the front & back of the hood just under the MH

I would go that way just because i'm lazy and it's much easier to make something fit than build new.. Hence why when i put my canopy back together i used 2-1/2" screws.. I think the canopy did well for holding a 220gal tank on top for 150 miles or so

Thanks for the insperation guys it's done I made a shelf made mounted the bulbs to that brought them to where the mh reflector stops and mounted it now i just have to get a reflector to put under the bulbs

If you had the room but it sounds like you don't, i would go with Lumenbrights.. If not Lumenarc Minis with or without the uv glass would be the way to go. the lumenarc minis - Dimensions: 14.5” L x 14.5” W x 6.5” H
