Starting to mix my own salt

Thanks to Hawkeye's find I was thinking about hitting up the Dr Foster Smith salt sale.

As of now I've been buying my salt from the LFS and hes typically been using ESV.

I was thinking of doing small changes for awhile, say 15-20 gallons a week for a couple months to slowly acclimate the tank to the new salt.

Anyone have any good tips or things I should watch out for if im going to start making my own SW?

You have the right idea when switching salts, small water changes. 15-20g might be too much, for your 72 bow (IIRC) that would be over 20%. You probably want to aim at 5-10g water changes. Also, make sure you are getting 0 TDS RODI water to mix it with. A heater and a pump to mix it up is also nice.
