strange invaders

(40 gal). i've got a couple of snails, one hermit, two dominoes, a flame scallop, some small pieces of live rock and a coral banded shrimp. a few weeks ago i noticed a bunch of tiny creatures swimming along the inside glass, in a few days there were hundreds- about the size of a small brine shrimp (maybe smaller)- looking at them with a magnifying glass shows a shape very similar to a translucent ant without legs. i'm getting worried about this- i've heard of snail infestations, are these snail larvae or something? thanks

It sounds like you have the dreaded pods j/k . They are most likely copepods and are a sign of a healthy tank . They are a great snack for your fish and help in cleanup. There a good thing .
