I dosed sodium ascorbate in my tank on monday after using warner marines reef snow a few days prior. For the last three days my skimmer has been going insane and bubbling over with a stream coming out of the overflow cup attachment. I put some carbon in a bag in the sump under my return line. I have the ball valve on my skimmer pump cut back about 50% just to get it skimming normal. I would normally do a water change, but my ro membrane went and the replacement won't be here until Monday.
My tank still looks great but I am obviously worried since the skimmer has returned to normal. It began bubbling over almost instantly after adding the sodium ascorbate. The sodium ascorbate was pure, so I don't know why this is even happening. Does anyone have any suggestions other than a water change since I can't do that yet?
