Stuff in my sandbed...

I usually think that all things growing in my sand bed are good - I been staring at it for the past couple of days and see lots of stuff that I haven't seen or didn't think an issue.

I've got lots of worms that seem to make tubes out of the nearby sand. i assume these are harmless... Right?

I've also got other reddish strands that poke out of the sand - about an inch or so - usually lying across the sand or moving around.

and finally - can you have too many Amphipods? I was scanning with a flashlight last night - and they were all over the place. i was worried that the Mandarin would eat all the small ones as well as the copepods but i guess my fear was unfounded. No wonder that Mandrarin is so fat.

do the worms look like this? If so they are a tank positive called spaghetti worms. The stands that you see are how the worm gets it's food.
