I keep 2-3” I use caribe sea live sand from Amazon.
It’s priced the same as dead sand and it’s delivered to my home.
I also keep wrasses and snails and other inverts that need sand.
I have a diamond goby that spends all day cleaning the sand.

That's what I use too, but amazon has a delivery date of early January for it, ordered some from Chewy, no info on when it's getting delivered yet

It’s $28 at Amazon delivered so for me it’s worth it.
Right now shipping is bad. I am sure no one wants to deliver a 40lb bag
Of sand lol

I like the look of that. Saved it on Amazon for future purchase.

I’ve seen bags of live sand at the local petcos.
I checked and not available locally- I have 40lbs of live sand for the 75g- should be good for 1 inch- may buy another 10lbs of dry sand from Petco to make another 1/2 inch- not sure if I want to go to 2"
