sump question

this how i plan on setting up my 29g sump.
is there a way to reduce the noise of splash in the return area
any other suggestions would be great too

I have always had good luck with filter socks.

filter socks are a good idea but you have to clean them ofthem i think you have a good design so i dont think you will have a lot of noise

is a filter sock somthing i just put on my overflow. ???
will i be able to put it on 1" pvc?

you put the sock at the end of your overflow pipe in the sump, so it will help you reduce microbubbles and some noise

I would keep a few filter socks on hand. Simply throw then in the dishwasher (without soap) when they got really dirty.

a filter sock would reduce the noise from the over flow right. but im worried about noise from the spash going from the fuge to the return area. i will not have an ATO, not yet at least, and evaporation is a B. also dont want water splashing and getting slat creepin all over the place

i dont think you will have a splash, maybe the only way will be if you run a lot of water through your sump, but you have slow turnover sump, i dont see any problem with it
