Sureflow 1600 to much for a 55gal?

Hi all,

Im kinda old school and have only ever used powerheads for flow. I converted one of them with a sureflow kit recently, turned it on and 3 of my rics went sailing off behind and into my live rock before I could bend over and unplug the thing. I thought all the rics had a footing on something by now, guess not. anyway does anyone think this is to much flow? its set with the smaller prop right now.

thanks!

it is a lot depending on where you position your corals. Softies will not like that kind of flow at them. I have a tunze 6060 in my old 55 and I could not place any softies in the middle of the tank as the flow was just too much.

Judicious aquascaping and placement of flow-needy corals worked for me.
