T5 bulbs in freshwater light fixture

Will it work? I have a 4 feet 2 bulb fixture. I have a regular florescent bulb in it and a blue bulb. I used it on my fresh water tank.
I want to change the bulbs to 54 watt T5 and use the same hardware.

Any risk doing do?

umm, the regular florescent is a T8 or T12 fixture, will the bulbs fit? I doubt it drives them the same or that the reflector would be very good for a T5. The reflectors play a big part in how well that bulb would penetrate.

I don't think they work but I could be wrong maybe it would underdrive them...I was going to say I have T5 fixture on my FW tank.
