T5 recs

Hope all is well.

Taking price out of the discussion what manufactures/models of T5 light fixtures would you recommend.

I am searching for 36'' 6 bulb hood, non retro.

i have some old t-5 36 inch bulbs u can try out. They can give you an idea of color so you dont waste your cash.

I think they ATI or Geissman bulbs.

I reccommend aquatinics. I have the tx5 on with acros on a 12inch high 30 gallon breeder.

Tek Light. I've got one and love it. As for bulbs, I'd do a combination of ATI and Giesemann.

I've been using both the Tek lights and retro's for years.... It's the only brand I use for T5's

the TX5 unit... is it the 24" model? if so where did you get it and how much for?? looking for something similar.

Aquariumspecialty sells Aquatinics fixtures, and yes, they do have the 24" models.

I have the Aquactinic 36" T5 - 5 bulb and am very happy with it. I've run TEK lights too - they are a little cheaper but pretty good lights also. I have also used Nova T5 but I have to say the reflectors were not so great. hth
