Tank birthday and I'm a Geezer

One of the pipes started eating mysis today and will eat all I give him. The other one didn't start yet but my tank is loaded with amphipods so I assume they have been eating those. I know they wouldn't live this long without eating anything.

I think they are a pair as they do hang out together. :)

I just took this blurry picture through the back of my tank of one of the Janss Pipefish in the dark with no flash

We have to be out by 8:00 am today as they will again try to asphalt the asphalt in front of my house and all the other houses here so we won't be able to get into our properties. My fish will have to feed and occupy themselves.

This small redfish I have no recollection of buying and I never see him in the light. Only here in the dark before the lights come on.

He is hanging out with one of my Dwarf Red Waspfish who I also see and feed just after the lights come on before the other fish get up.

My Daughter got me this for Fathers Day.

My 2 Janss Pipefish also swim around at night

Yesterday we had to leave our neighborhood so they could coat the asphalt around our houses and street and we couldn't walk on it, drive on it or even look at it. (It came out pretty lousy and just looks like they sprayed some thin water color black paint on the surface which I could have done in 10 minutes)

Anyway, I also did something stupid. I do a lot of stupid things but don't usually hurt myself while doing them. :confused2:

We got home about 7:00 last night and we had to park on the grass about 50 yards from my house so as not to sink in this thousandth of an inch of tar they sprayed on the ground which seemed to annoy the ants as they were up to their knees in it.

We brought my wife's powered chair and her walker because we weren't sure what we were going to do at our friend's house for the day and we didn't know how far from our house we were going to have to park when we got home.

The "tar" seemed dry, so my wife wanted to walk to the house using her walker and I took her powered chair. There is a pretty steep hill in the grass that leads up to the street near my house, and I drove the chair up the hill and was going to get off of it at the top and lift it over the cobblestones there that line the road.

The handicapped chair is not exactly an SUV so I had to give it full power to get up the steep, grassy hill which was probably not my best idea and winning "Mariner of The Year" didn't help.

The thing fell over backwards along with me and it ain't too light. Neither am I.

My head hit the ground but my head is rather hard and empty and the hand grip on the back of the chair kind of went into my back and I think I broke or cracked a rib because now it is rather difficult to breathe and my gills are not working well. :oo:

Luckily, my wife went the other "safe" way with her walker where there is no hill, and she didn't see me doing a "dying Cockroach" on my back with my arms and legs flailing up in the air.

Our Grand Daughter Greta is coming over today on the Jitney from the city and then is going to camp then away to school so we may not see her for a year or so and I don't want to waste time going to a hospital or a "Doc in the Box" for a stupid X Ray to tell me I cracked a rib and they can't do anything about it except give me an aspirin.

I will live and Real Men crack ribs all the time, it's part of being a Real Man and not a Sissy Girly man. Of course, I can't show my wife it hurts, or she will call an ambulance, Swat team, Dr Oz or the Surgeon General because girls like to make a big deal over minor things.

I am not going to walk on the beach this morning because the heavy breathing coming up the 176 stairs won't be easy and when I feed my fish I will be sure to only pick up the lighter mysis so as not to strain myself. :D

Oh my gosh! Hope you recover quickly. I always worry about you when you go to the beach on your walks so early in the morning since no one is up and about.

I can't believe Greta will be gone for a year! I was so home sick when I got married lol.

I wimped out and went to the hospital because my headache got worse, and my ribs are also not in a good mood. I explained how I did it, and they are probably still laughing. :p

I went to the emergency room in the local hospital, and they said they were going to give me a CAT scan. I didn't bring a cat, so I excused myself and went out in the street and found one. They put the cat through the machine, and he was fine, so they put me in.

It seems my head is fine and my ribs are just a little bruised, so I felt better, except for the pain.

Then the DR said he wants me to see a Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, and Kidney specialist. Now I really feel bad.

He said I have some calcification around my heart, which I kind of knew about because I am 77, so everyone my age has a little of that. I also have "crud" in my lungs, which I also knew about, and it is from asbestos and Agent Orange. I spent many years installing the stuff and removing it because it wasn't dangerous then, and in Vietnam, they told me that Agent Orange is healthy, like eating avocados and apples. They lied. :blue:

I also have a small kidney stone and I hate those because I had one about 30 years ago and I thought my wife was sticking a screwdriver in my back.

So, except for the calcification getting a little worse, the "crud" getting a little worse, and the kidney stone waiting to put me in excruciating pain, all is great.

Now my granddaughter is here, so we are taking her everywhere she wants to go and buying her what she needs for boarding school
