I'm not a fish meal person, especially crustaceans except shrimp. I found eat white fish but not often. I have heard this before about once dead are poisonous. Couldn't you whack real hard and then cook it? I don't cook fish so just wondering.

Yes, of course. I usually feel bad for them so I stab them through the head. It turns out that boiling is probably better, but there is no real way to kill them painlessly because their "brain" is not in one place, but it has neurons scattered all over it's body and it is hard to kill all of them at the same time.
