I had my first flood tonight. This morning added water to the 5g ATO bucket and all was fine. Left the house at 7pm came home around 8:30pm and noticed 2 large wet spots in front of the tank. My first thought was the sump is leaking but I heard a dry pump running. Checked the ATO bucket and it was empty. Opening up the cabinet door saw that the ATO hose fell out of the sump. Dried the rug best I could. Guess I will need to buy some clamps to hold that hose in place.

The clamps will definatly help in the future.

I've been thinking about an ATO but this is one of the reasons I havn't done it. I know they have condensation drip pans that another float can be added to to turn off an ATO or turn on another pump that pumps the water back into the tank.

It was a stupid mistake on my part and will not happen again. I usually check the hose to be sure its okay but was distracted this morning. There are 2 floats in the sump none in the bucket.

I am glad that my sump and everything else will be in the basement near the sump pump!!!

I agree it is short and the power cord as well. You can buy a longer hose. It works great IMO and pulled bunch of water out of the carpet.
The best thing I like is that it's made in the USA.
