You want the stand on a solid surface, I would not use a mat.Was thinking of putting a mat under the stand to cover floor. Good or bad idea? If good what do I get?
Rimless tanks are not meant to be on hard surfaces. These tanks come with a pad separating the stand and the glass. If you add a piece of plywood, you also need to buy another mat and throw it on top of the plywood.The only thing that scares me is how the front panel is not supported by the stand. I would get 3/4 plywood paint is black and have tank sit on that instead of just the stand. Just a thought.
