Tank on Carpeted Floor

Hi all. I'm planning on setting up a tank (30 gallons with an aluminum stand) on a carpeted floor for the first time (I've always had them on hardwood floors).

Looking for some guidance on what I should and shouldn't do prior to setup. My main concerns are stability and spills.

Thanks

I would set up the stand and tank and level it. Then fill it with just tap and give it a few days to settle. Recheck level, make any adjustments as needed then drain and get started with the good part.

I never had an issue on carpet floor; just level it well. Don't spill large amounts of water on the carpet.....LOL

30 is fine. We had a 36 g bow front when I first started on thick carpet.
