Tank weight

I'm in the process of purchasing and setting up a tank after an 8 year hiatus due to having kids. I'm looking to purchase the new innovative marine 100g internal. With that tank, stand, sump ect should i worry about the weight on a first floor 25 year old house with full basement. The tank would likely be along an outside wall however running along the joists not across them. It feels like alot of weight however im sure people have much larger without issues.

If you estimate 8lbs per gallon, plus ur rock, tank, equipment, etc you can get your weight. I would brace it in the basement regardless, but not going across the joists will require it I think. You may want to talk to a contractor if you’re comfortable doing it.
