tanking pictures of my tank, help please

guys i can take good pics of anything out of the water but when becomes to my tank i suck at it, i have a sony cybershot 5.0 mp
any tips in how to take clear pictures, mine are always all blurry???
 
You might benefit from using a maual focus. Generally the auto focus will read the surface of the glass as the focal distance therefore you end up with a blurry picture if you use a manual setting you will be able to focus on the subject instead of the glass.

Alot of digital camera's don't have manual focus, but, if you press just halfway down on the shutter, it will lock the focus what is closest to the lens. That's why tank shots are usually blurry -- the glass of your tank is closest.

So...
Figure out how far away the subject of your picture is
Find something else that same distance
Press the shutter halfway to get the focus set the focus
Then go back to the tank and take your picture

That worked for me, except for the fact I misjudged the distance and only almost got what I wanted in focus.
