Think my peppermint shrimp hatched a bunch of eggs

So I was changing my water last night and all of the sudden a bunch of what I thought was copepods exploded out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure it was peppermint shrimp. The bangaii cardnal made short work of em

At least it is eating now. I had the same thing happen at night. My fire shrimp was trying to catch them. None were left by the morning.
