sometimes that's good but I don't like it on my zoos. They seem unhappy that way. Anybody know what may be causing this? Alk 4.0, Ca 440, PH 7.9 - 8.2, Avg Temp 81.7, ORP 415, what else do you need to know? Only change is the MH bulbs a week or so ago.

The only thing that makes my zoos wear tight skirts is the spaghetti worms searching for food on the frag plugs.

If it started right after the light change you probably have your answer. Did you cut back on the light an hour or so a day, raise the lights or put a shade cloth/screen over the tank when changing bulbs? If not it's probably the light intensity and spectrum change.

Besides the lights, any other small changes? Different food? Any new fish or corals? Any new equipment or changes to skimming? Anything at all you can think of?

PS Can you get your pH up a bit more? Have you done phosphate & nitrate test lately? I've noticed them doing this with excessive phophates in the water. Is your macro growing well (phosphates) or kind of dormant?

Rich if you wearing a tight skirt at the meeting I'll definitely be there! As far as the zoas go it could be one of numerous things. Are all of your zoas doing it or just a couple? Are they all in the same area of the tank? How about a pic of the zoas with the tight skirts?

I would but this is a family frendily site.

Fortunatly,they've loosened up quite a bit. Something is definitly up with the tank, eveything took a turn for the worse for a couple days. Actually lost a couple pieces. Seems like what ever it was, it's subsiding. Been a tough week on the reef.

Pre-meeting curse for sure. Nothing 2K in new corals for the tank can't cure.

Gonna see if my crappy LFS has it on the way home tomorrow Carlo. Running heavy carbon and did a 30% water change.
