To Bubble Trap or Not? That is the question......

Going to use a 55gal for a sump on my 120 long with twin overflows.

The 55 is 48"X12"x20" high.

Return will be in center, fuge on end. Fuge end will be 12"x12"x17" high with bulk heads into return section.

Overflow and skimmer section will be 24"X12"x14" high. I am thinking of just trying a single divider here.

Skimmer is an ASM G4 modded.

Mag 18 in the return (lifting >6ft, custom oak cabinet) and will dump into fuge as well.

So whats the consensus using bubble traps with this arrangement. My thinking on using just a divider is that since the sump is only 12 wide, the velocity of the water will be to high for an effective bubble trap.

Ideas or comments?

I have pretty much that set up. I built a bubble trap in mine. I could probably get away with one baffle instead of 3. Or the overflow pipes would need to be in bags and you could get away with none. You would have to provide for the skimmer bubbles though. I plumbed my skimmer discharge over to the fuge so bubbles from the skimmer aren't an issue either.
