So today I embarrassed my OCD and I let it take over for a friend. Sponge I want you to know that your tank is well being cared for while you are concentrating on just getting better the only thing I need left to do is wrap it in bubble wrap and fill the inside with peanuts there is no problem for this to be here while you are recovering please take your time the only thing important is you and your health

So what I let my OCD do first it was hot water with half cup vinegar wash it down with lint free cloth inside and out. Afterwords I took my wet vac to suck all of the water that had settled on the bottom from it’s bath and removed dirty water, After that I took my can of special glass cleaner that is only for Aquarium use at least that’s what I tell my wife and went over the inside and outside of the tank again. After that I moved down to the cabinet which had also received a hot water vinegar bath similar to what ones mate might do on a hot summer night,,,When will that was done it was dried off and then washed down again using armoral cleaner dust wipe with no shiny residue,,I hope it is to your satisfactory and like I said it wasn’t even close to being any inconvenience or problem it’s the things that friends do for one another when one is in need
By the way I stuck in a nice little piece of coral just to give it some pop and I know how much everybody loves the fake stuff

Well the mad OCD monster strikes again,, I was over at Mike’s house and sitting outside his garage was a protein skimmer the size of R2-D2 The thing was a disgusting mess it looked like it was used for five years and then take it out of the tank and just put in a corner the gunk and junk and smell associated with this thing was unacceptable to me so I took it and I’m in the process of giving it a bath at the moment it is in a garbage can with about a gallon of vinegar and 10 gallons of boiled water that I boiled myself on the stove and poured it in the garbage can then topped off with some hose water also I plugged it in and it’s actually running inside the can with all the vinegar and such so the whole inside of it will get clean it will be ready by Sunday,,,, I honestly have a feeling he left it there on purpose knowing that I could not just ignore it and that my OCD would definitely kick in here are a few pictures of what it look like

Well it wasnt 5 years... it was 2.. lol and I replaced the pump last year, so there. Lol buuuut i did, just remove it from my old sump and stuck it outside to "clean later" and what do you know, it's getting cleaned later.. lol.

So today is the day that the soaking is over and I will scrub the hell out of that skimmer cannot wait to post a picture of how beautiful it’s going to look when I’m done I just might start my own little side business OCD cleaning by Paulie069

OK this morning I went to work on Mike’s giant protein skimmer probably the most disgusting piece of equipment I have ever witnessed since I have taken an interest in this hobby I started at 10:45 and officially was done around 1:30 there was a few spots very hard to get to because the pieces were molded together and did not come apart so getting in between those areas was a very big challenge and I hate to say it I kind of enjoyed it it was hard I figured it out I Gotter done anyway will be sending a before and after photo with this just might start my own business Paulie VV‘s OCD

Actually my 0CD kick is not over I have three tanks that at this moment are soaking with the vinegar and water I believe this combination works very well and is safe if it’s good enough for my woman it’s good enough for my tanks I have a 55 gallon that Mike gave me but it is two aquariums in one it has a large center baffle that was factory installed it’s the way the tank came I have plans on removing that centerpiece and making a frag rack up high because it is a deep tank I will have to come up at least several inches and put a shelf and go from there The other tank is the 30 gallon sump that came with the beautiful 65 gallon tank with stand and canopy that Hass so generously gave to me and my thought is I might just turn the 30 gallon sump into the sump of my set up which is up and running already it only has a 20 gallon sump and it is a 55 gallon tank so I plan on re-positioning the baffles in the 30 gallon and like I said switch them out for the time being and the 13th I need to scrub it may pretty again is the Tatian I just had my accidental copepods farm in what I did is I safe and out 5 gallons of water and right now it is in a bucket with a air raider and a light over it just to see if there’s anything left as I gave a very large amount away and with the other 5 gallons I poured into a another bucket along with all of the rock and crush coral that was on the bottom with it also I added this beautiful large hunk shell that I’ve had for a while and hopes that the shell will cycle in the bucket and grow Coraline I might put a piece of rock in with **** that has some Already on it and hopes that it will catch on to the Shell and if it comes out the way I hope it will look awesome and be ready to put into my tank in about six months I would suppose well that’s it for right now I do have a my day cut out for me tomorrow but what you do after that
