The club is having a groupe buy in a few weeks for inverts. It's open to members only. You can find membership info on the home page.

there's a sticky here for new folks to check out. The last link has membership info. Figured I'd post it here for ya!

Also -

welcome to NJRC!

if it's a new tank - I would be careful about ordering a large package deal. A lot of the inverts will probably just die from lack of food in the tank. Some stores in the local central area I like:
Aquatic Obsessions(avenel)
Ocean Gallery II (north plainfield)

1. dont get a whole bunch at once. if you do and there is no food, most will die.

2. dont get just turbo snails. get multiple kinds. in my 54 i have 6 (that i know of) different kinds. Turbos, Cerith, Astrea, Nassarius(sp?), Nerite, and mini turbos and Stomella(though not really a snail)

phishguy. what is the rationale for getting multiple species of snails? don't they accomplish the same exact goal? i guess it's interesting to have diff species but is there some other benefit of having diff snails?

Each species of snails eats different things and prefers different areas of the tank.

Just some examples:

nass snails prefer to burrow under the sand. They comb it for detritus. They are primarily meat eaters and will surface when you feed tank.

ceriths prefer the filamentous algaes and are often on glass.

Turbos also like film algae and will usually be on glass and rocks.

I agree ...like conch too...they are interesting to watch so diversity gives you more things to watch.

conch fritters are yummy. I wonder if they are the same conch...

Trop just got in a huge shipment of Mexican Turbos.

Some were larger than golfballs (by a good amount, as well).

For a 90G, about 6 of those huge suckers should do.

And when I say huge, I mean huge. One was almost baseball sized.

don't get a queen Conch if you get one.. They get Huge.. Like the size of the Conch shells you make music with
