Upgrade skimmer?

I was just wondering since I'll soon be adding soft corals in about a month, should I maybe consider getting a new skimmer? I'm using the Rio Nano Skimmer for a bioload of four fish, maybe 5 turbo snails, 3 red hermit crabs, and 3 blue legged hermits. I was looking at the bak-pak HOB skimmer. I have almos 40 bucks of credit with dr. foster and smith so I wanted to use it wisely. Anyway I was seriously entertaining the thought of getting that skimmer.

I've heard its a good skimmer, but I'm in the research stage myself looking to upgrade too. I am leaning towards an in sump the ASM Mini-G. According to what I've found on it, seems like a good bang for the money. I started w/ a HOB the Prism by Red Sea/pretty good but now I need one for the sump, better performance I hope. ;D
Goodluck with your selection and let me know how well it works for you.

I've heard a lot of good things about the aqua c remora pro. 'course for that much money one hopes it would be good.

My choice for my 30 gal reef was the Aqua C Remora. For smaller tanks it's excellent.

Be especially careful when getting smaller skimmers. There is a lot of junk ot there that you wish to avoid.

The AquaC Remora will set you back about $165. If you see something for a lot less, you can generally be sure it's junk.

+1 for the Aqua C Remora. never used one myself but ive heard good things. i used a Seaclone when i first started on my 29g. yeah, dont get that one.

Get a used Aqua C.....people sell them all the time when they upgrade. You'll probably end up selling and upgrading too. It's like a never ending process.

On the seaclone...it sucks but it actually DOES skim (well a little bit). It probably worked ok on a 29G even though it says it's rated for 100-150.
