What to do?

Four days ago I noticed that Cyano was creeping up in the tank. I haven't had much time lately to really be on top of things so I added some Chemi clean and an aerator. In three days the cyano was gone; I turned on the skimmer and it went nuts even set to off.
Last night I put the Kent carbon reactor back in and its been running for 12 hours. The skimmer is still going nuts. I haven't done a water change yet as I didn't realize I ran out of RODI water. I plan to make some Sunday. Should I just wait until I get some water or overflow the skimmer into the sump?

i had to turn my skimmer off comlpetely after using chemi clean and ended up doing three 20% water changes before my skimming was back to normal unlike the one 20% water change they suggest lol

Thanks for the info. I used it before without any problems but I had crappy skimmers. Now that I have a good one guess its going to be a problem.

I'm getting ready to do this and one thing I saw in my reading was to run your skimmer waste directly into a 5 gallon bucket for the water change for at least the first 5-10 gallons of the water change. (I just had to do the same thing after using some coral booster – when I read about it working with red slime remover I added it to my list of things to do 48 hours after dosing) My old skimmer (bubble magus 6A didn't react to any additive" the new skimmer (SRO XP 2000) goes berserk just if I put my hands in the tank for a moment
Anyway, sound like your issue’s solved but I thought this might be helpful if you had to use it again
